Therese Smith is a singer songwriter who loves to perform across a variety of genres. From Jazz to blues, folk and rock not forgetting the favorites but approached in her own unique style.
Who is she?
Therese Smith was born and schooled in Port Elizabeth living in Jeffreys Bay. She still very much part of PE as she is a teacher at Lorraine Primary School for the last 15 years.

She has performed all around the Eastern Cape both as a solo artist and in various groups such as Silhouette with Etienne Harris, Jim O’Neil (Ireland) and Keith Yoko, Hot Wasabi with Steve Walsh and Joe van der Linden, Theresum with David Houghton and Phumlani Mtiti and Curtis Ketteldas. Therese often performs with many of the Eastern Capes well known musicians. She also performed with the ever-popular Port Elizabeth entertainment company, Centerstage and she has had the privilege of performing alongside many of Eastern Capes well-respected musician and entertainers.
She has been part of and co-ordinated various collaborative shows. Her latest projects include the all-woman show, Women of Wonder and the sensational Chimera Effect featuring Lloyd Martin on drums, James Smith on vocals and keys and, David Houghton on guitar and Andrew on bass.

Therese recorded her first album in 2010 titled ‘Look up’. Her original music has been described as soulful, uplifting and incorporates various feels and often touching on different genres to create a unique style and sound. This album will soon be re-released and available on all digital platforms.
She writes and performs music across various genres and loves bringing people together.
