On the Garden Route, Brent and Lorette Kozak have been a familiar presence, gracing audiences with original performances and setting the perfect jazz ambiance when required. They have also collaborated with the talented Eugene van Pletzen in the ensemble Ten Canoes.
Over the past decade, they’ve formed noteworthy musical partnerships, including a blues duo with local guitarist Cuan Korsten, captivating shows alongside the ex-Capetonian and songwriting virtuoso, Dax Butler, and memorable performances alongside Wildy van Wyk in various settings. These collaborations extended to bands like Tom Amorium and Mike Scott’s experimental project, Wildfinger.
Brent’s musical journey, ranging from an early fascination with classic-rock bands of the 60s and 70s to a profound love for bluegrass, reflects his eclectic taste.
