Time spent in the city of Cape Town consolidated his position as a sought after performer in the many clubs, pubs and restaurants which offered live music in those days…. and also resulted in air time for his self-penned songs. His Song, “More than just a friend” did very well, and launched his recording and performing career. However, after more than 20 years of touring, Kevin was offered the chance to pursue his passion for research. With that, over time, public performance took a back seat as he pursued his interest across Africa.
In late 2016, Kevin sold his research business, and went “back on the road” with a showcase of his original music. No doubt due to a fortunate collaboration with several great musicians, the show, “Folkify”’ was very well received, and ran for two years.
