Description: Founded in 1907, West Bank Golf Club started as a 9-hole course with Kimberley blue gravel putting greens. The original 1920 clubhouse was replaced in 1939. By 1930, the course expanded to 18 holes, with the front 9 along the Indian Ocean and the back 9 set further back. All tees offer ocean views, featuring the Hood Point lighthouse. West Bank cemetery, with WW11 servicemen’s graves, is on the course. Recognized for excellence, it hosted the Senior Golfers Union of South Africa’s 2022 annual tournament.
