Description: We first played music together in high school in a band fronted by Sarah, and Claire Venn. Our first gigs as a duo came in 2001 doing coffee shop and pub gigs.
In the mid 2000’s, life (getting married and having kids etc) happened and music was put on the back burner for a while with the odd Four Winds performance in between.
Since 2016 we’ve made a more concerted effort to perform live more often and in 2018 we started writing some original music and for the Four Winds Manville festival in 2019 we finally gave the duo a name, Ten Thousand Spoons.
For Lockdown 2020 we challenged ourselves to recorded 21 songs (mostly covers) in 21 days, as the lockdown was originally meant to be 21 days. Apart from it being a challenge to learn 21 new songs we had a lot of fun.
