Description: From early teens Alasdair Gillies musical influences were anything from Cliff Richard and the Shadows, to the Everly Brothers and Rock and Roll.
He started playing guitar at 16 when his influences then were the new Folk and Folk Rock era, Dylan, the Byrds, Donovan, Then came to the forefront with Blues with Eric Clapton and the John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. Jimi Hendrix also became one of his obsessions. So as a novice guitarist he dabbled a bit in all these areas.
