The son of a preacher man, a preacher woman and the brother of yet another preacher man, Rusty skipped the religious gene and instead found himself searching for meaning through the vibrations of six rusty strings. His musical influences range from John Mayer’s sweet and subtle marriage of blues guitar and introspective lyricism, Slow Hand Eric Clapton and BB King’s musical restraint, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s lack of restraint, all the way to the occasional with one might only find in a Queen song.
