Nico van der Walt aka ‘Nice-O Nico’ was born in Klerksdorp, but grew up in a small Mining Village called Beeshoek, near the town of Postmasburg in the far Northern Cape Province. In 1996 Nico started a 2-piece band with his younger brother and called the act ‘Jonnix’ and they performed at various pubs in the Klersdorp area. The band is roots based and all the members are currently based in Durban. Their highlight performance was being the curtain-raiser for the UB40 tour in 2018 in Durban and Pretoria to Sold Out shows. City/Town: Durban Category Type: Singer & Guitarist Mandisa Sishi was born on 17 December 1959, Manisa Sishi grew up in Eastern Pondoland, Lusikisiki where her father served as a Missionary, a Pastor in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. As one of the founder members of the Joy Bells Singers, a Mixed Voices Group of the Seventh Day Adventists in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape., they recorded two Albums in 1981 and 1982 at the SABC Studios in Johannesburg.
